EquipmentShare: Accelerating Growth in Redmond

As EquipmentShare expanded across Oregon, it identified Central Oregon as a key market to meet rising customer demand. With support from REDI, a local office of EDCO, EquipmentShare recently opened a new Redmond branch in the former TEC Equipment building and became operational ahead of schedule.

Founded in 2015 and based in Missouri, EquipmentShare provides heavy equipment rentals, fleet management and jobsite technology. Their T3 technology platform gives construction teams real-time visibility into fleet, assets and people, helping jobsites run safer, smarter and more efficiently. The company operates hundreds of U.S. locations and has served Oregon since 2020. The Redmond branch is its sixth location in the state, joining Salem, Portland, Canby, Hillsboro, and Eugene.

Responding to Market Growth in Central Oregon

EquipmentShare chose Redmond due to its rapid growth in construction, industrial development and housing. The new branch on NW Canal Boulevard near U.S. Highway 97 offers convenient access for contractors across Central Oregon.

The site supports equipment rental, service and fleet staging, allowing the branch to serve customers efficiently and scale with demand. In addition to rentals, the Redmond branch offers technology and driver security systems to enhance productivity and safety, strengthening EquipmentShare’s service capabilities in the state.

EDCO Support and Site Selection

EDCO assisted EquipmentShare early in the site selection process, identifying properties with industrial zoning, highway access and adequate space for equipment storage and maintenance.

When the TEC Equipment building became available, EDCO connected EquipmentShare with the property owners. By occupying an existing facility that met its requirements, EquipmentShare quickly established operations.

Investment and Operational Readiness

The opening of EquipmentShare’s Redmond branch is part of a broader expansion strategy in Oregon. The company plans to invest approximately $185 million across the state to support growth and develop additional locations. EquipmentShare expects to increase its Oregon presence to 10 locations.

Job Creation and Community Impact

EquipmentShare’s Oregon expansion is expected to create up to 120 new jobs statewide. The Redmond branch supports this growth by offering skilled positions in service, maintenance and management.

EquipmentShare’s presence in Redmond supports the region’s construction and industrial sectors by improving access to equipment and technology. The branch strengthens Central Oregon’s role in the company’s statewide network and contributes to the area’s long-term economic vitality.

Looking Ahead

EquipmentShare’s Redmond branch bolsters Central Oregon’s construction support network and enhances the region’s appeal to growing companies. By using an existing facility and local partnerships, EquipmentShare entered the market quickly and efficiently.

EDCO’s collaboration with EquipmentShare shows the value of flexible site solutions and timely connections in helping companies establish operations, create jobs and invest in Central Oregon’s long-term growth.
