Cv International: Expanding Innovation in Prineville
When Cv International, Inc. (Cvi) began exploring options for its next phase of growth, the company knew it needed a location that could support expanded production, consolidated operations and a long-term vision for innovation. After more than a decade in Bend, the advanced manufacturer has invested in a new facility in Prineville’s Tom McCall Industrial Park, an expansion made possible with the support of Economic Development for Central Oregon (EDCO) and regional partners.
Founded in 1981 by Robert Tatge in Palos Verdes Estates, California, Cvi has earned a reputation as a global innovator in high-performance nitrogen systems and mission-critical support technologies. Since relocating to Central Oregon in 2010, the company has continued to scale. It supplies aerospace, industrial and defense customers worldwide. Cvi’s cutting-edge designs have also earned regional recognition, including a finalist spot in the 2024 Coolest Thing Made in Oregon award for its F-35 Fighter Maintenance Platform. Cvi is a Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB).
A Growing Company Ready for Its Next Move
In recent years, rising demand for Cvi’s next-generation equipment, such as its newly introduced MNG-4 Nitrogen RS Mobile Generator, made it clear that the company needed room to expand. Leaders began evaluating opportunities to provide larger, more consolidated manufacturing space, more efficient logistics and deeper in‑house capability.
Prineville quickly emerged as a strong contender, offering a balance of available industrial land, infrastructure and access to the workforce that powers Central Oregon’s advanced manufacturing sector.
EDCO Prineville’s Strategic Support
As Cvi assessed potential locations, EDCO Prineville played a central role in guiding the company through the site selection and development process.
EDCO worked closely with Cvi to evaluate available properties within the region, ultimately connecting the company with its preferred landowner and project developer in Tom McCall Industrial Park. These connections helped Cvi move quickly and confidently toward selecting a site aligned with its long-term needs.
EDCO also assisted Cvi in navigating Business Oregon incentives, including securing benefits through the Enterprise Zone standard 3-year property tax abatement. These incentives reduced upfront development costs and helped make construction of a new facility feasible.
Building for the Future in Tom McCall Industrial Park
Construction on Cvi’s new 70,000‑square‑foot fabrication facility began in August this year, marking a major milestone for the company and the community. When completed, with a move-in date estimated by June 2026, the new site will significantly expand manufacturing capacity, accelerate delivery and create opportunities for future product development.
The facility will strengthen the company’s ability to serve both domestic and international customers, reinforcing Central Oregon’s role in producing critical technologies used “from airfield to battlefield and beyond.”
A Win for Prineville and Central Oregon
Cvi’s expansion adds momentum to Prineville’s growing advanced manufacturing ecosystem, bringing high-skilled jobs and a long-term investment in the local economy. As the company transitions to its new headquarters, it will continue to tap into the region’s talent, supplier network and collaborative business environment.
