ASI Business Group Relocates and Grows in Bend with EDCO Support

ASI Business Group is a Bend-headquartered supplier of marketing products to hospitals across the United States. Led by President and CEO Jeff Olsen, ASI has been in business for more than 50 years and operates with a business model centered on meeting customer specifications and business needs.

After relocating its headquarters from Wilsonville to Bend, ASI made a significant investment in Central Oregon. The company purchased a lot in the Empire industrial area and constructed an 18,000-square-foot production and warehousing facility. The $3.2 million investment in new facilities and equipment was accompanied by the initial addition of five new jobs.

Economic Development for Central Oregon (EDCO) worked closely with ASI throughout the relocation and expansion process. In 2025, ASI finalized its project with EDCO, receiving guidance and support as the company navigated site development, workforce planning and access to regional business resources.

As part of this effort, EDCO helped connect ASI with the Oregon Economic Development Department for recruitment support. EDCO also facilitated connections with City of Bend officials, helping ensure coordination and communication as ASI moved forward with its new facility in the Empire area.

EDCO further guided ASI through available business support programs, including the Enterprise Zone (Ezone) program and the Forgivable Loan Fund. Rather than simply identifying these tools, EDCO provided hands-on assistance to help ASI understand program requirements, evaluate eligibility and determine how each resource could support the company’s sustained development and capital planning.

Throughout the process, EDCO maintained direct engagement with Jeff Olsen and the ASI leadership team, delivering insight and helping navigate key decisions related to expansion and workforce needs.

With its new headquarters and production facility in Bend, ASI Business Group is positioned for continued growth and strengthened presence in Central Oregon. The project demonstrates how established companies can successfully relocate and expand with the support of coordinated regional partnerships, thereby generating new investment and jobs for the local economy.
