We all know our beloved local guitar company is known for its superior quality woods, craftsmanship and tonal quality, but is that all it takes to build a renowned company? Of  course not! Join Crazy Pete Newport, as he discusses his 1999 retooling and investment buyout of Breedlove Guitars. In 2006, the company's current sales grew to $8.2 and while under Newport’s management, the company has grown from 5 employees in 1999 to 39 today, with plans to add an additional 15 employees over the next three years. Crazy Pete will talk about the lessons he’s found most valuable and how to build a truly authentic, Central Oregon company culture.
Early Stage Presenters
Following tradition, we'll highlight the winning business plan team from Pam Stevenson's New Venture Management class at OSU-Cascades. Students compete for the opportunity to present at PubTalk and local business leaders Cathie Hendrix and Robin Gould help make the final selection. Come help mentor these young entrepreneurs!
