Keynote Presenter: Gregg Patterson, CEO and Chairman of PV Powered
Patterson will discuss the rise of PV powered, opportunities in the solar industry, and the future of renewable energy. A savvy entrepreneur, Patterson will share his lessons learned about growing a dynamic business in a rapidly changing business and regulatory environment.
PV Powered was awarded the Central Oregon Product of the Year in 2007, was a finalist for the Oregon Top Development Stage Company of the Year in 2008, received the Oregon Solar Pioneer Award from Oregon's Department of Energy in 2008, and was visited by President Obama during his 2008 campaign tour, where he called the company's accomplishments "a workshop for the future."
Prior to joining PV, Patterson was a Vice President of Hewlett Packard with their very successful Printing and Imaging Group, where he had general management responsibility for $1B, led the successful acquisition and integration of several companies, and managed 300 engineers. Patterson was awarded an HP Fellowship and holds a BSME from University of Washington and a Masters in Engineering from Stanford.
Early Stage Presenter: Emmit Nantz, Imperial Stock Ranch Food Company
In an environment of massive meat recalls, Nantz will share his timely concept of "transparency" in the meat industry, which allows restaurants and consumers to trace the origin of meat they purchase. A proponent of sustainable agricultural practices and smaller local processing facilities, Nantz intends to grow his business by duplicating the model at the local level. He seeks $2.6 million for the purchase of a slaughter facility, a biofuel facility, software development, inventory, marketing, legal and cash flow needs.
Early Stage Presenter: Scott Warner, Wild Red Energy
What do you get when you cross an energy bar with the U.S. National Ski Patrol? Some might say an energetic rescue team, but Warner, a Mount Bachelor National Ski Patroller, sees the endorsed product as the first step in a bigger plan to support rescue services internationally. Warner will share his business plan for expansion; check out his site.
