Sisters Round Table to Discuss "Financing the Growth of Your
Business" During EDCO’s Industry Week
The Sisters Round Table will be hosting its second quarterly
event on "Financing the Growth of Your Business" on Wednesday,
October 13, 2004 from 5:30 pm - 7 pm. The Round Table will be
held at Pine Meadow Village Clubhouse in Sisters (cost $10) and
will focus on capital supply and the means and methods of
acquiring it. The Sisters Round Table is one of a series of
regional events co-sponsored by Economic Development for
Central Oregon (EDCO) during its first annual Industry
Week (October 12 – 15).
The Round Table consists of entrepreneurs, investors, and
providers of professional business services from the Sisters
area. The group strives to aid the growth and development of a
diversified business community, to help local entrepreneurs
improve opportunities for growth, encourage the flow of ideas
and services to entrepreneurs, and connect companies to
expertise and other resources they need to grow their
businesses. The Sisters Round Table allows entrepreneurs to use
their peers as a sounding board on topics such as business
models, marketing strategies, or other integral components.
During the October Sisters Round Table. participants will
debate the pros and cons of debt and equity financing, review
local resources and share their own experiences with securing
financing and raising capital.
The event will begin with a networking session. Tara
O’Keeffe-Broadbent and Mike Broadbent of Working Hands
Crème will lead off the discussion at 6 pm with their
own story of financing the growth of their business, followed
by an open Q & A discussion with Round Table participants.
RSVP’s need to be made to Judy Trego at the Community
Action Team of Sisters at 549.2287 or judy.trego@copartnership.org
by October 7th.
