PRESIDENT & CEO OF INNOPRISE TO SPEAK AT JUNE 10TH
CENTRAL OREGON PUBTALK
The Oregon Entrepreneurs Forum (OEF) will hold its last
Central Oregon PubTalk of the 2003-2004 season on
Thursday, June 10 from 5:30pm - 7:30pm. The event will
be held at the Widgi Creek Golf Club (18707 Century
Drive) in Bend and is open to both OEF members (cost is
$15) and non-members (cost is $20). Registration for
PubTalk can be done at the door or online at www.oef.org.
PubTalks are co-sponsored by Economic Development for
Central Oregon (EDCO). For details or questions,
contact Program Manager Jennifer Houston at Jennifer@edforco.org
or 388-3236.
Featured speaker Dennis Harward will discuss his career
in the industry, as well as his plans for Innoprise in
his presentation titled: "Turning a Dream into
Reality." Harward has spent over twenty years in the
high technology industry. From 1981 to 1999, he served
as President and CEO of Florida-based Harward Technical
Enterprises (HTE), a government software company.
During his tenure at HTE, the company grew 40 percent
for 17 consecutive years - beginning with $3,000 in
capital at its outset in 1981 and growing to $98
million in revenue by 1998. This growth culminated in
HTE's successful public offering on NASDAQ in 1997.
Innoprise Software
(formerly Avenir Systems) provides enterprise software
for the specific business challenges of utilities and
local government agencies. This April, the company
announced the close of a $4 million Series A round of
financing with lead investor ArrowPath Venture Partners
of Menlo Park, CA.
In lieu of the usual early stage company presentations,
the June 10 PubTalk will feature a special business
plan presentation by an OSU Cascades Business
Administration student. A review panel consisting of
local entrepreneurs and investors will be reviewing
student business plans from OSU's New Business Ventures
class earlier in the day, and will select one student
to present at the evening PubTalk as a means to gain
"real-life" experience presenting to an audience of
investors.
