COTV EXAMINES "THE COMPLICATED ROAD TO REGIONAL ECONOMIC GROWTH" IN NEXT TALK OF THE TOWN SHOW

August 8, 2008: “The Complicated Road to Regional Economic Growth” is the topic of the next taping of COTV-11’s Talk of the Town.

“What are we doing as a region to produce the best possible economic future for ourselves?” asks moderator Dave Jones. “How does a decrease in federal timber dollars, increasing costs for goods and services, limited developable employment lands, and complex transportation policies contribute to our ability to grow economically?

Talk of the Town producer Jamie Christman is assembling local experts in economic development as well as representatives from groups and agencies tied to that effort. “We are looking forward to a lively discussion and anticipate learning what challenges lie ahead as the region works toward economic development,” says Christman.The public is invited to attend the taping of Talk of the Town. The program airs Mondays at 7pm on BendBroadband COTV channel 11 and on COTV on Demand on Digital Cable.

This will debut air the following Monday, September 1st,   on COTV 11 at 7pm. It will then air every Monday through September 22nd. It will also be available on free local Video on Demand (VOD).
