EDCO HIRING MEMBERSHIP DEVELOPMENT/EVENTS MANAGER

Description of duties and responsibilities:
EVENT MANAGEMENT
• Develop strategic events plan that supports greater mission and objectives of organization.
• Create annual events calendar; develop and manage event budgets.
• Secure corporate sponsorships; manage sponsor relationships for long term benefit.
• Design event sponsorship and analyze costs to ensure measurable ROI.
• Build collaborative partnerships with other local, regional and state business development organizations for development of co-hosted events.
• Promote and market events in coordination with Marketing Manager.
• Negotiate vendor contracts.
• Manage event planning, development, and production in coordination with Office Manager.
• Provide on-site event facilitation.
• Generate activity reports for the Board and Executive Director on a quarterly basis.
MEMBERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
• Identify prospects and recruit new members in coordination with the Membership Committee, the Executive Director and other EDCO staff.
• Participate in the development and implementation of the strategic plan.
• Serve as a resource for the Membership Committee, EDCO staff and Board of Directors as primary point of contact for members.
• Serve as project manager for the integrated planning of membership campaigns; enlist and coordinate the services of Membership Committee, Board of Directors, existing members and EDCO staff in the promotion, planning campaigns.
• Develop and implement marketing strategies in coordination with the Marketing Manager.
• Facilitate greater member involvement and support of the organization.
• Oversee ongoing development and management of Member database.
• Supervise staff engaged in areas of membership recruitment, support and growth.
• Generate activity reports for the Board and Executive Director on a quarterly basis.
